I wanted to thank you for your article on male nursing. I graduated from nursing scool in 1986 and I have had to prove myself more than a female. I have done pediatric ER, adult ER and am now a lead nurse on a cruise ship. I have seen first-hand from employers, especially when traveling, that I have to prove myself every time. Once I prove myself, I do find I am as accepted as the female RNs, and have had good experiences [with] patient acceptance. It is changing for the better.
Thanks again for your article,
